Minimum age of candidate : 5 years.

Course contents: From Fundamentals to Various musical pieces composed by the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary composers, such as compositions by Bach and Handel, Mozart and Beethoven, Schumann and Tchaikovsky, Bartok and Debussy. Also includes technical works, such as scales and arpeggios , studies and other finger exercises. Higher grades have Music Appreciation , Aural Awareness , and Sight Reading . Jazz pieces and Improvization techniques are also included.

Examination System : Students are encouraged to appear for examinations in SSLCM for the beginner grades and Grade 3, 5 and 8 with The University .

Electronic Keyboard


‘ The music of today’s generation .’

Minimum age of candidate : 5 years.

Course contents: : Various popular songs and Broadway soundtracks and transcriptions of classical pieces for Electronic Keyboard with Full fingered Chords and also the use of Base Clef and Composition and Improvization and Accompaning Techniques . Technical work of Scales and arpeggios and Broken Chords and Studies and Finger Studies

Examination System : Students are encouraged to appear for examinations in SSLCM for the beginner grades and Grade 3, 5 and 8 with The University .

Theory of Music

‘Discovering the composer in you.’

Minimum age of candidate : 6 years.

Course contents: : Theory of Music from beginners to advanced level includes Harmony , Transposition, Knowledge of Scales, Modes, Chords , Time Signature , Composition , Orchestral works, counterpoint and history of music. Theory Classes involve using of visual aids , audio sessions and interactive group learning.

Jazz Theory

Examination System :Students are encouraged to appear for examinations conducted by London College of Music & Register of Guitar Tutors.

Students are encouraged to appear for examinations in SSLCM for the beginner grades and Grade 3, 5 and 8 with The University .

(For level: Beginners to Grade 8 and also followed by three Diplomas).

Classical Guitar [played in finger style]/ Acoustic or Plectrum Guitar / Electric Guitar /Bass Guitar/Rock Guitar

Course contents: :

Classical Guitar : :Pieces composed for the classical guitar, such as composed by J.S. Bach, Franscisco Tarrega , Fernando Sor, Samuel Adler and Isaac Albeniz. Also includes technical works, such as scales and arpeggios.

Acoustic Guitar : Acoustic Guitar :Pieces composed in Plectrum style with Rhythm Exercise Patterns , Finger Studies , Chords and Scales , Accompanying Pieces and Improvization Styles .

Electric Guitar : :Scales and Modes and Chords Improvization skills and Rhythm Studies

Bass Guitar :

Examination System :Students are sent to examinations conducted by RGT board (for level: Preliminary to Grade 8 and Teaching / Performers Diplomas)..

Drum Kit

Minimum age of candidate : 5 years.

Course contents: : Studies and Technical work to enhance your rhythm sense and dexterity in movement. Play along with tracks and also with live bands.

Examination System : Students are encouraged to appear for examinations in SSLCM for the beginner grades and Grade 3, 5 and 8 with The University .

 

Popular Music & Classical Singing & Musical Theatre

‘Sing out your favourite numbers as you touch the correct notes.’

Minimum age of candidate : 6 years.

Course contents: : Various popular songs by popular artists such as Elton John, and soundtracks from Broadway Musicals and Western Classical and Musical Theatre pieces from classical and contemporary times . Supported by strong technical work and aural training and theory.

Examination System : Students are encouraged to appear for examinations in SSLCM for the beginner grades and Grade 3, 5 and 8 with The University .
